The GAGOP violated the Rober’s Rules of Order right out of the gate at the State Elections! They had no discussion for points of order.
The “nomination committee” that is supposed to vet the candidate actually RECOMMENDED WHO TO VOTE FOR. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the Chair of the convention then INSULTED candidates not “recommend” from his position of power!
One Candidate, Norine Cantor running for 2nd vice chair, after viewing the blatant rule breaking, the forcing use of “clickers” instead of paper ballots, had enough when it came her turn to give her speech.
She took it up the podium as if she was going to give it, looked at the audience, and said “I wrote a speech, a really great speech, but I can’t give it now, not after seeing the corruption that the GA GOP is doing.”
And she lit into the GAGOP right there on stage, pointing out their corruption to their face and the audience that evidently was not knowledgeable about Robert’s Rules.
The amazing part was in a 4 way race, she wasn’t the bottom person out.
In the 3 way vote, she got more votes than before but still lost.
Before this speech, she’d ripped up the GAGOP’s NDA in her speeches—they required the candidates to sign before they could obtain the delegates information and it allowed them to fine the candidates thousands of dollars for saying anything bad about the GAGOP–she’d been nicknamed FIREBALL.
Now, she’s a verb: You’ve been “Norined”
This is what all of WE THE PEOPLE must do to those running for 2026 from US Congress down to Dog Catcher! Take our rightful place back.
