A 900,000 sq. ft. data center is proposed for our area.
It could use 200,000–500,000 gallons of water per day, with up to 80% lost to evaporation — and employ very few people.

What We Don’t Know

  • How much electricity it will require

  • Whether our utility rates will rise

  • What type of data center it is

  • Environmental impact, especially if Lake Lanier is below full pool

  • Who owns the facility

Why It Matters

The Hall County Commission plans to vote on Oct. 23, 2025, before these studies are complete.
We need this project tabled until we have answers.
